“Born in Europe, I had a traumatic childhood, surviving a fire at the age of 5 and losing a beautiful mother from illness only 2 weeks later, when I was nearly 6 years old, and thinking, of course, that it was my fault.  Because my life was tough, sad and boring, I began to read all the books I could, even if they were not age-appropriate.  I began to draw, paint, write poetry and little novels, to build doll’s houses, creating a “oniric” environment, trying to protect myself from the cruelty of the outside world. At school, I was discovered high potential. Because of family loyalties, I had a law degree and worked in what people used to call a serious job until a huge and devastating burn-out. The time was come to answer to this question asked by my psychotherapist: who are you, Anna? I had to work on it, of course.

I know the answer: I am an Artist and I always have been. I’m actually writing a book, I am also active in interior design and trying to give back their souls to empty spaces, and of course, I am a photographer. My work is about water and soul. Our souls, full of water vanishing in tears. About maternity, childhood, absolute elegance and purity…  But it doesn’t mean my work should be sad. Not at all, it is full of hope, of life!    It is made of the changing colors coming from my beloved Florida, telling us that we can all survive what the floods submerge in each of our lives.  Telling us that even when you are looking down to the mud, the sky is still there, reflecting in the water under your feet, asking you to look up and live.

I should say that I am a very creative, patient and meticulous person. I enjoy creating beautiful things that make other people happy and satisfied. I am a person of the world – I’ve traveled across Europe, Africa and Asia- I am a true explorer of colors, flavors and textures. My pleasure is to turn basic things into great art.
